Your first appointment is a special, getting-to-know-you process. It starts as a typical office visit to your family doctor, with a thorough medical history questionnaire. After that, we ask you a series of questions that deal with your diet, energy level, sleep, habits, work, recreation, and home life. It is not enough to know what your current condition is. We need to know how you got there and where you are heading. Traditional Chinese medicine is truly holistic, seeking to understand disease within the context of the individual.

Typically, the first appointment takes between sixty to ninety minutes. This varies based on the complexity of your medical history and current complaints. Bring a list of current medications and supplements and wear loose clothing. Please fill out the patient information form prior to your appointment. You may download that here.

Follow up appointments are shorter, approximately 35-45 minutes. Depending on your condition and complaint, some appointments are as short as 15 minutes. If you have special time constraints, please let me know. I will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your schedule.
